Santa Claus' Punch and Judy

A delightfully violent and non-PC puppet show for kids. Thank you, Santa!

I gotta ask. What the heck did that have to do with Christmas?

It is from William Castle's production company, maybe it's suppose to be a horror film?

Well, Phil Hall, a good friend of mine who does articles for Film Threat wrote about that a few weeks back you might like to take a gander at!

Castle Films though was sort of the pre-home video company of it's time that sold 8/16mm prints to the general public for the usual home exhibition. They were though owned through a subsidiary of Universal Pictures, and often sold abridge digests of feature films from Universal as well as the Walter Lantz Cartune library. More about them can be found here...

It's only a shame I didn't have a chance to post in this blog some more cooky Xmas shorts, but over at GBS.tv, we're planning a Xmas marathon of stuff to observe the Julian Calender date for Xmas. Hopefully you can join it before it's too late (today being that day). I know I'll have fun!

The more I watch this short the more I love it. This is a visual definition of Holiday Depression.

Amazing.
