Just being reminded "Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures" came out yesterday. Haven't gotten it yet, but from a few reviews, it's sad it lacks in the extras dept. There were a lot to talk about on that show that sadly could not get heard/seen due to budgetary reasons.

Being off-topic with that note, some people do think of Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat as a later version of what Ralph Bakshi & Co. were doing a decade before. I'll leave it at that.

I had forgotten about the New Adventures street date. Gotta get that for the library.

It's a must.

There's only been a few complaints about it right now. One for the lack of commentary tracks on all the episodes, plus a live-action bit at the end of one episode someone reported a while back I wish I knew about. I assume it still aces in quality and just the way we want it, but a shame for it's lacking in the extras dept. Read the animators saved up tons of material that didn't all make it to the final cut.

I hadn't planned on posting all these Felix VHS covers to coincide with the release of The New Adventures of Mighty Mouse, but somehow it seems fitting.

Again, both shows had a bit in common in rejuvenating classic cartoon properties with offbeat, contemporary ideas.

I do find it kind of funny that this is a Film Roman cartoon. Outside of The Simpsons I really don't think of Film Roman as being cutting edge.

Too often when I think of Film Roman, I'm still stuck on the Garfield specials since that was the first thing the ever did!
