Lord, I remember watching this on Saturday mornings. I wanted to have my own gorilla. Yeah, maybe I can get a gorilla suit instead. Another childhood dream crushed.

Certainly shows like this would do that to anyone! You just wish reality was as fun as Saturday morning!

I enjoyed this show more then F-Troop. I realize that's not saying much, but I'm throwing that out there. Hey, I was a kid and the show had a guy in a gorilla suit and was about Ghost hunters. If they had worked dinosaurs in to the show I'd have never missed an episode.

At least the live action Ghost Busters was better then the animated one. It had a better frame rate. ZING!

I remember the cartoon based on this.

Wasn't until Wikipedia came along did I learn that the Filmation Ghostbusters was made after the movie and was based off a TV show.

I'm guessing that most people know the cartoon over the live action show. I've seen commercial VHS tapes of the animated series but not the original live action show. I can understand that. Who's gonna buy a show with Larry Storch and Forrest Tucker and Bob Burns in his gorilla suit?

Pretty much, they did managed to get it out on DVD some years back before BCI went belly-up.

In case of the cartoon version, I think at the moment, it's airing Saturday mornings alongside other Filmation classics as part of Retro TV's new block devoted to that you can watch on your RTV affiliate (where available, check local listings).
