Witch's Night Out (1978)

Witch's Night Out is so Canadian it hurts. Not only was it shot in a Toronto Studio, it's got Dan Aykroyd, Vlari Bromfield, and Catherine O'Hara. Honestly, my favorite part is the sound the broom makes.

I don't have much to say that can't be answered by watching this flick. Here's a song from the 70s about a witch.

Chris did a post about this Halloween Special a couple years ago.

I did!

It's an OK special for what it is, I remember seeing that back in the day but I forgot how funky they've drawn those characters.

Some years before this one, there was a Christmas special produced by the same group but with much more simplified, cheaper animation than seen here.

I remember it got a lot of replay for a number of years. Petering out about the time of The Devil and Daniel Mouse.

Yeah, not ever special can stay as endearing for long (or in people's memories as much). Just be thankful I did my share to remind people of the colorful past we seem to have lost today (much like those "Monster cereals" I can't seem to find nowadays).
