"That's the ego of Dick Williams"

Sadly, this will be playing nowhere near me. If it is near you, you should go check it out.

Know why?

(2, 3)

This is Richard Williams. If you want to know anything about animation, this is the guy you turn to.

No, really. He'll teach you what he knows.

Back in the 80s, before the "masterpiece" was completed, there was this documentary. There are six parts and it's well worth it.

Here are over a hundred of those commercials he made, and hated, that paid his bills.

And here is the closest you'll see of the movie he wanted to make. Don't rent it, as you'll get the Miramax version and it's just awful. There's some rough spots here, but it's much stronger when two characters are silent.

I feel I know too much about him and his work, but thanks Mila!

Here's over an hour's worth of ads to gander at!

Strangely enough, it was the "Raggedy Ann and Andy Musical Adventure" that started the Williams interest-binge. Prompted by buying a horrible record for $3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVWdGl5QD5I

No, really, it's an awful record.

God! I think I saw such a record once at a Goodwill that had a drawing of them in a band together with Alexander Graham Wolf! That's what you get when you let Chuck Jones out of his cage on your fledgling property.

Ugh! It's irksome when you see how good the animation is ("No Girl's Toy" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97xTnussEBM), but I can't get over how the Raggedies were symbols of the anti-vaccination movement:( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raggedy_Ann ). I knew, when I was buying the record, that something felt wrong.

Yeah, I never knew the author was such a jerk about it simply if it hadn't been for the death of his daughter there.

Reminds me a bit of the film Max Dugan.
BTW, I've got more hell for you... ever wonder what would happen if you crossed Shami Kapoor with Lady Gaga? Well, wonder no more. Meet Azis, a Turkish male singer. In watching this, you really get the feeling he stalks Lady Gaga...
