If we can get GODZILLA VS MITOKOMON up here, we'll do it. I'll definitely play it next year regardless; it was a hit.

Ninjatron, thanks for the compliments. Most of the anime I enjoy is at least 20 years old, so I figure if I'm gonna do panels I ought to stick to what I know. Great they made perfect fodder at the HELL showings.

Chris, "Rejected" is indeed the Herzfeld short. Another film of his I enjoyed was "Genre" where a cartoon rabbit gets drawn into different genres and tortured by the animator. A simular film I also enjoyed was Daniel Greaves' Oscar-winning short, "Manipulation".
http://www.screenonline.org.uk/film/id/559829/index.html

Of course on another level is Osvaldo Cavandoli's "La Linea" shorts that Tohoscope should know very well by now! Not sure if they make great HELL material, but some who might have some slight memories of "Great Space Coaster" could perhaps recollect this li'l gem!Chris Sobieniakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09838106041175506925noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7693402.post-1149260669039099272006-06-02T10:04:00.000-05:002006-06-02T10:04:00.000-05:00Hey Jenny, glad you enjoyed Anime Hell!! I keep wondering how well that could've been if Cartoon Network did give it a chance when it was supposed to air on Adult Swim five years ago.

Someone out there had to do a web petition for that otherwise...
http://www.petitiononline.com/anmtnlv/petition.html

Not nearly my cup 'o tea though (having seen it a few times and think "Lily & Jim" was my fav).Chris Sobieniakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09838106041175506925noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7693402.post-1149058484138241612006-05-31T01:54:00.000-05:002006-05-31T01:54:00.000-05:00Anime Hell was awesome this year, as were the othe...Anime Hell was awesome this year, as were the other panels you were involved in. I really appreciate how much attention is being paid to the old-school of anime with those.

I was the guy who won the trivia for the JET JAGUAR question, which makes me feel special, so thanks for the animated King Kong DVD. I knew the Tetsujin question but got the creators' name confused somehow.

Already looking forward to next year's show!

Sayonara.Ninjatronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06422140631759518593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7693402.post-1149054256792465982006-05-31T00:44:00.000-05:002006-05-31T00:44:00.000-05:00Hello,I really enjoyed your video panelIt was my 1...Hello,
I really enjoyed your video panel
It was my 1st time viewing it.
I especially liked the anime-live action comparisons, the GI Joe spoofs (I hadnt seen them before that) and the Godzilla fan parody.

I was wondering if you could post a way to play "godzilla vs mitokomon" so I could view it again..
If not thats okay too, then I hope to see it next yearAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
