Kinda like the "no reading required" statement! Best describes the mentality that went into MTV in the 90's. :-)
This was when they had their little home video label with Sony Music Entertainment, releasing god knows what. Their slogan was "Stick it in, press play!"
I need to post the rip of this tape. The host segments are pretty cheesy. Lots and lots of green screen buffoonery, too. They had a video paintbox, and dammit they were gonna use it. Whether they needed to or not.

Those are the type of videos I love! Especially from the 80's.
Reminded of picking up a vid years back where all it was is a bunch of artists tooling around with a Quantel paintbox and acting all artsy and critiquing the machine while giving us these pieces that can done by someone tooling with Photoshop these days!
I had this! I found the case the other day but the actual cassette is MIA. I've searched all over the web but I can't seem to find a download for it or anything. If anyone could post it or email me that would be AWESOME!

ReplyDeleteI did rip this tape to DVD but I didn't get around to uploading it. I'll try to find the disc and upload it for you.
