Streaming Into The Future

If you were around last year you might have seen me do a long New Years Eve Anime Hell thing streaming on AWA's Twitch channel. Well, I'm doing a similar thing again this New Years Eve on my own Twitch channel, mostly because it's looking like once again staying the hell away from other people might turn out to be the healthiest thing to do.

It's going to be a mix of old favorites and new stuff, mostly classic clips, some of which I haven't screened in a while. If you're sticking around the house this Dec. 31, why not turn on your computer device and point it at twitch.tv/terebifunhouse and help us ring in what will hopefully be a less infectious 2022?

Anime North Stay At Home Edition

As predicted, COVID-19 isn't finished with us yet. This means beloved Toronto anime convention Anime North has to take yet another break and appear virtually instead of live and in person. This ALSO means that Anime Hell is going to be streaming freely once again!  Be sure and tune out the world by tuning into all the events happening May 28-30 as part of the Anime North Stay At Home Edition!

streaming virtual hell questions

After a year without anime cons but with four online streaming Anime Hell events, I've been getting questions asking if these virtual Anime Hell shows will be available to watch online or download.

Short answer: no.

Anime Hell is, or should be, a live event that happens at anime cons. If Anime Hell is available for everyone to watch any time, the live event that happens at anime cons won't be unique, it won't be a surprise, it won't be unexpected, and it won't be as much fun for you, or for me.

I did four streaming events last year, all of which were in conjunction with online anime conventions. These streaming events were still available to watch for days after their scheduled broadcast. All told, I wound up doing about twice as much Anime Hell as I usually do, potentially to a vastly wider audience.

If you happened to miss any of these events, please rest assured there will be opportunities to see Anime Hell in the near future, both streaming and hopefully, once we get this COVID thing finished, live and in person.
