AKA "HEAVEN ONLY KNOWS" has slowly been eliminated from the AnimeHELL playlists. We've shown it until the tape has worn out, yet it still gets laughs whenever it's played. Enjoy the audio edited classic featuring Evangelist Robert Tilton.
I'm guessing you won't see this at PANEL OF DOOM! Anime Festival Orlando...

I'm guessing I probably won't run it either. Not because it's not my thing, but because I've run it previous years and have opted to cycle it as well as the followup out of the rotation.
But fret thee not, for Mr. Tilton will still be making an appearance courtesy of a God Stuff segment.
Which God Stuff tape did you get? I've got a source for the Joe Bob Briggs tape that I'm mining for clips right now...

I do have a decent copy of "Heaven Only Knows" I could submit if all of you like! My copy came from a longtime Houston friend of mine whom got it quite by accident and didn't think anyone else had the recording like he did, so mine should be nearly VG if possible. Haven't seen it in a while, but I can always cap it to DivX whenever.
No worries, Chris. I bought the Tilton tape at Dallas's Forbidden Books and Video store in '97, so I have a reasonably good source copy that I really should transfer to DVD someday. There seems to be a Robert Tilton fanbase here in DFW, I once found a Tilton fanzine at a used book store in Dallas, filled with Tilton fanart and news clippings about Tilton's run in with the Texas State's Attorney and other expose's. If I didn't already give it to Dave Merrill I'll see if I can find it and scan and post it.

Thanks for the info.
Though I personally didn't know a thing about this Tilton guy before, guys like him came from that period in the '80s when independent TV stations were host to a slew of televangelists that came on daily between the hours of 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. (EST). The network affiliates wouldn't play host to their parlour games, owning themselves to sub in syndie talk and network game shows to fill the void before the midday local news in most markets (back when games shows were more than just "Price is Right", and usually lasted up to 2 hours a day).
I more or less was bored seeing those names in the TV Guide, and a few times I ACTUALLY saw these characters on the tube I wanted to find something else to watch, even if it was some "instructional program" on PBS geared to first graders.
I still like to wonder whomever put out that farting tape, though I can only assume it to be someone who worked on the show, possibly an editor, who just wanted to screw around with some previous footage of Tilton doing some extreme expressions and other slight pauses by subbing in the farts inbetween.
Mister Tilton and his like are a prominent part of the DFW area, Dallas truely is the beltbuckle of the bible belt, as they say. While living in Minneapolis I never encountered as much of these fire and brimstone preaching folks as I have since moving to Texas. In fact, the folks who grew up around here are happy to point out the as many of these fellows as they can, it's like they are part of the landscape.
That's interesting to hear. I'm reminded of what a friend of mine up in Canada said about how more liberal they are than the US, and there isn't a lot of those religious/bible nuts on the air, apparently Canada only has one Christian cable network on the air I'm told.
Of course my town isn't too free from these people. One of those guys was caught for streaking buck naked in a public park years ago, and yet he got away with it apparently! I'm just glad I don't have to watch those dozen channels on the tube (nor go to church, but that's another story).
