I was always more fond of Clokey's work on Davey and Goliath then Gumby. Although I did have Gumby and Pokey posable dolls when I was a kid. Mold injected rubber with a wire armature. They were eventually sold off at a garage sale.
But I remember when they aired Gumby on TV. So long ago.
I had a posable Gumby too! I was watching those on TV as well back in the 80's. I wasn't a big fan of D&G though, saw a few here or there but it wasn't my bag.
For something completely different, here's Art's little personal film he made in the 70's! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrwFGU3oAvU

When I mention Davey and Goliath nowadays the kids all think I'm nuts, and the fogies all think I'm square -- go figure.

You can always bring up it's the inspiration for "Morel Orel" if that helps (or have people forgot about that).
