I thought I'd posted this one before, but going back I didn't find it. When I talk about limited frame rate animation, this is the video I'm talking about. At times the animation becomes a slide show, the frame rate is that low.
Love thinking the spam message was about as irrelevant as this cartoon!
Wonder what Hammerman was saving that girl from on the cover (obviously nothing given the way the show was made)? I can't stand this show, and want it erased from my memory.
I think I can best do that with this video I just discovered today (and not bad for a Chinese animator)! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PsrTSAk7F8
The thing with Hammerman is that you can see they were trying to do something interesting, and yet it all just never really comes together. Just a big mess of something that just can't figure out where it's going. Then you get the scenes with the low frame rates and it's just sad. What a waste.
Tohoscope said... Damn, I like that one. Gotta try to rip it.
Glad to find things for your arsenal!

Let alone noticing Andy Heyward had to go and copycat Scott Shaw!'s use of an exclamation point for his "executive producer" credit. But yes, this was our generation's Clutch Cargo, though I think I said that about a dozen times already! Shame ABC didn't just pull it after an episode or two to put it out of it's misery (especially since these tapes to exist anyway).

Got it. It came out very nice.
Thanks for pointing that one out to me.
Glad it worked for you. It's such a great little piece. Reminds me of those "Out of the Inkwell" shorts.
There's also a "Behind the Scenes" vid up there someplace showing how they did those scenes.
