There really needs to be a fanpage for this series (just like we did for anime in the 90's), at least something to do an episode guide, character information and whatever else could be found about this.
I suppose I provided all that there is needed to be said about this cartoon. Somehow I didn't realize what North Korea did yesterday until after I posted my comments, but it's quite a coincidence to think about this since I do wonder how long could they keep this up or will Squirrel & Hedgehog see no conclusion at all? I like the sort of serialization they gave this and how the technique appears to be changing overtime given the years this has been around (going from cel to digital, though I think they're starting to cheat a bit with Flash in the last episode).

Heck yeah. That's kinda what I want to do in my expanded post. I've gotta expand on all the amazing things in this show.
The creeping production quality is part of the weird charm here. If you haven't read it yet I recommend reading Guy Delisle's Pyongyang: A Journey in North Korea. It's an autobiographical comic about about Delisle doing corrections on an French animated tv show with a North Korean crew. Incredibly revealing stuff.
Have to read it again someday (found a copy out there in BitTorrentLand).
I'm sure those pins are the usual Kim Il Sung pins everyone is forced to wear these days (just like they're forced to display and maintain the portraits of both former leaders (and probably Kim Jong Un) these days.
