Well, I missed this one, but it doesn't look like a big loss. Here's some 80's hell from the vaults. Remember Klaus Nomi? He was the very gay performance artist/singer that was the court jester in the early 80's New York scene. He also was among the first celebrities to die of AIDS. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFaZyHxQGYQ - Simple Man. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gma5IUNMTn0 - Lightning strikes (the 60's Lou Christie song) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOl_Drd42SQ - After the Fall a lovely original song about the nuclear holocaust.
(BTW, check out Nomi's performance of "Cold Genius". If the song sounds familiar, it was the basis for Michael Nyman's soundtrack for "The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover".
A bit on the lame side there, IMO. Here's Klaus at his day job before he was famous. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXks3Xjydh0 Still looking for the one where he performs live with a bald guy that's about 6'4" wearing a maid outfit.

I see it's not yet in my area (and I predict it will never get as close than either Detroit or Cleveland if possible).
