Well, it's one of those things. I think Bucky was looked at as having the same sort of potential as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I remember a controversy between Michael Golden and Neal Adams over who owned Bucky way back when the show came out. My google-fu has failed me, but I do remember something going on that pretty much killed off any chance of an ongoing franchise.
