R.I.P. Frédéric Back



Frédéric Back, 89, who won two Oscars for his poignant animated short films, died Tuesday morning at home in Montreal, said his daughter, Suzel Back-Drapeau. The cause was cancer.

It has been some time since I saw The Man Who Planted Trees. I hope Back planted enough.

Needless to say I was sad for the passing. I recall sending him a drawing I did of a tree for his Birthday a while back on Facebook.

Recall I still have a 16mm print of "Crac" in my collection!
