The existence of a Tron anime blows my mind. If I had a copy of it, I don't know if I would run it during one of my panels or not. I always thought The Simpsons was just being silly when they did that bit where nobody had ever heard of Tron, but I've found that a large percentage of people I know have never seen the film.
Cool work on the Animefest Flash animation, by the way.
Thanks. The Flash post was sort of an afterthought. I'd made the original flash loop and converted it to DVD resolution VOBs to intercut the short clips, commercials and movie trailers on the menuless DVDrs I've been cooking for this saturday's show. It worked better then I'd hoped. I think next time I'll add some music or sound effects to the loops.
I'm sure Mike Toole already has a copy of the Tron anime...
But the Tron footage really tops it! Sadly the "Space Thunder Kids" edition doesn't feature the same music/voices that the SWF clip you've made does (coming from a different video there), as "Space Thunder Kids" cobbles several films together with a plot that makes literally no sense other than for something they think kids would go for.
