This year's Hell at Animazement went over like gangbusters, with a full house in the main events room having a good time and proving repeatedly that anime fans are essentially bloodthirsty sadists. I've posted the playlist on the Animazement forums. Kudos, as ever, to David Smith (who provided the KLF-inspired poster you see here), William Bloodworth, and Ben Elgin for doing their part to bring the Hell.

Ah, the Catgirl Critics. My friend Mike Moon runs a website called Catgirl Island, which is chock full of art dedicated to his muse: catgirls, catgirls, catgirls. Yep, he's a bit focused, but there ya go. I dunno exactly why he wanted to interview me for his website, but I was happy to do so. Meanwhile, this year he drew the official catgirl mascot for Hell and, I gotta say, it's pretty great. I'll try to get it scanned in soon.
I liked the part where you explain the vital qualities of what makes a HELLvideo. Because it's hard to explain to folks why I'm not showing their favorite YouTube Videos. I may edit that into a future post. With your permission, of course.
By all means, edit away. I also like the way David Smith puts it. A recent volume of the manga Eden (which is excellent, by the way) features a list in the back where the author lists things that are and are not Eden. They're both non sequitur and entirely appropriate all at the same time. Thus, we find ourselves periodically pointing at something entirely unrelated and going, "Yep, that's Hell."
Interesting that you bring up that "She Loves the Cream" video from the Studio 4C music video anthology "Amazing Nuts!": that was in the queue for the JACON Panel OF DOOM!, but I didn't end up playing it. Instead, the panel opened up with another video from Amazing Nuts!, the animated video for "Twinkle" by Koda Kumi.
THAT's what I forgot to do: post the full playlist on the HELL forum! I'll try and get on that later tonight.
