The 2010 Animazement Hell went over like gangbusters, with a packed house of roughly a thousand folks digging on everything we showed...except "The Mashin' of the Christ". Ah well. You can find a complete playlist
at the Animazement forums. Kudos to this year's Hell crew: David Smith and new Hellions Cameron Blashka and Chris Cullpepper.

What got the most reaction/laughs/dancing in the aisles?
I'd say the biggest reactions were for the Legend of Koizumi episode (which contains epic mahjong action with a wonderfully ludicrous finale that got a ton of cheers), the kung-fu chainsaw fight at the end of Tiger on the Beat (which also got extra points for having Chow Yun Fat show up), Lucky Seven (because my audience is sadistic and likes seeing little kids being beat up), and the world's scariest Smokey the Bear PSA. Man, I shudder to even think about that last one.
The long Hertzfeldt film at the end stopped being funny a long time before it ended. What you heard was a profound thoughtful silence, even if a lot of the thoughts were, "WTF?"
I love being able to use material like that as the Hell finale. Besides, Don Hertzfeldt is brilliant and I'll happily show anything he does, even if it ends up being a kick in the teeth by the end.
Anybody have the link to last year's playlist?
Sure, the 2009 Animazement playlist can be found on the AZ forum.
Thanks Phil!
